The tournament is open to 6 Teams from 6 different Nations which will be provided with the uniform representing their own country included in the price. It will take place over two days, Saturday and Sunday, each team will play at least 4 maximum 5 matches, 2x20 minutes - NO TOUCH rules, slapshot allowed if the captains agree, professional referees. Colosseum Cup hockey club ASD together with International Amateurs and Veterans Hockey League organizes a series of Ice Hockey tournaments for amateurs and veterans starting from a minimum of 6 Teams as for the now famous 6 Nations up to a maximum of 18 Teams for the organization of the largest tournaments and the first edition of the first Amateur World Championship scheduled for 2020.
All our tournaments follow a spirit as well as sporting, we would dare to say goliardic, the goal is to create days where practicing ice hockey is combined with fraternization, making new friends and having fun together with people who share the same passions.
To make this work, we invite you to read the rules and follow them.
TOURNAMENT ORGANIZATION
▪The dimensions of the playing field are approximately 30m x 60m.
▪Duration of the matches: 2 halves of 20 minutes the first period of play with running time the second period will have the last 5 minutes with actual playing time if the goal difference does not exceed 2 goals.
▪Each match will be preceded by 5 minutes of warm up and will have an interval between the two playing times of 2 minutes.
▪ In case a team does not show up at all or does not show up on time at the start of the match, (waiting tolerance 10 minutes) the same is evaluated with a score of 0: 5 against the non-appearing team.
▪It is played with regular goals.
▪ You play 5 against 5 plus goalkeepers, with flying changes.
▪ Each match has a match director (referee) who is responsible for the running of the match plus an assistant. He watches over the game, counts the scoring and announces the result to the tournament organizer.
▪ The minimum age valid for participation in the Tournament is 18 (eighteen) years of age (see IIHF Game Rules)
▪The Organizing Committee is not liable for accidents or damage to things or people.
▪ If a number of changing rooms equal to the number of registered teams are not available, a shifts will have to be carried out, therefore a changing room (indicated in the match calendar that will be delivered) with toilets will be made available to each Team 30 minutes before their match. , hairdryers and showers, and which please release as soon as you finish changing after game for the cleaning staff and the next team to access.
In case of delay on the tournament schedule, the organization reserves the right to shorten the playing periods by a maximum of 5 minutes each.
THE GAME RULES
▪ In unforeseen and exceptional cases, the Organizing Committee has the right to change or adapt the rules. These changes will be promptly communicated to the Teams before the dispute of the first match.
▪The tournament will take place in two groups
▪ "Slap shot" shots are allowed only if the two captains agree and if all the players on the field are equipped with at least a protective visor or grid, if slapshot is allowed, the players without a visor will not be able to access the ice.
▪Direct charges are forbidden. Blocking to the balustrade is allowed.
For the placement matches will be evaluated as follows: win 3 points, draw 2 points, defeat 1 points.
▪In the event of a tie in the group stage for the final classification, the determining factors are:
1.The goal difference
2.The goals scored
Goals conceded (goal difference between scored and conceded, whoever has the highest positive number goes first)
4. and lastly the extraction.
In the final matches in the event of a tie at the end of the two game halves, the penalty shots will be taken.
The "Penalty Shot Procedure" to determine the winner of the match.
1.The shots will be taken in both defensive zones of the playing field.
2.The procedure will start with 3 (three) different shooters for each team taking turns in shooting. Players do not need to be named first. All the players listed in the Referee Sheet can participate in the Penalty Throws to determine the winner, with the exclusion of those indicated in the following article 3.
3. Any player who has not finished serving his penalty during “Regular Time” will not be able to participate in the Penalty Throw, and must therefore remain in the penalty box or may go to the dressing room. Players who receive a penalty during the penalty shootout phase must also remain in the penalty box or may go to the dressing room until the end of the procedure.
4. The Referee will call the two Captains in the Referees area and with the flip of the coin he will establish which team will start first. The winner of the coin toss can choose whether to throw first or second.
5. Goalkeepers will defend the same goal defended during the playing time.
6.The goalkeepers of both teams can be changed after each shot.
7. The shots will be taken in compliance with Art. 509 of the IIHF Official Game Regulations.
8. Players of both teams will take turns taking turns until the deciding goal has been scored. The match will be considered concluded with this decisive goal.
9. If after the 3 (three) throws the teams are still tied̀, it will proceed to the bitter end ”made by a player of both teams, with the same player or with new players. Endless shots ”will be initiated by the team that started the first series of shots second. A team can always use the same player for all-time shooting. The match will end as soon as the series (one penalty shot per team) does not end in a draw.
10. The Official Scorer must record all shots taken, indicating the players, goalkeepers and goals scored.
11 Only the decisive goal will count towards the final result of the match and will be credited to the player who scores it and charged to the opposing goalkeeper.
12. If a team refuses to participate in the penalty shootout, the match will be declared lost for this team and the other team will receive 3 points for the victory. If a player refuses to take the penalty, he will be listed as "unsigned" for his team.
IDENTIFICATION OF PLAYERS, STAFF AND COACHES BY THE REFEREES.
The match officials, 5 (five) minutes before taking the field, must identify the players, coaches and managers, first of the host team and then of the guest team. The match officials will first call the managers and then the athletes by surname; the called athlete will respond with his name and jersey number showing it.
The loan of players is allowed or that some players play for one or more teams but this must be communicated during the registration phase of the team on the day the tournament starts or in any case always before the start of the match in which the loan takes place.
The players who will play for more teams will not be able to enjoy the sum of the goals in order to win the top scorer award of the tournament, for this qualification they must designate a team for which playing they will participate in the competition for the TOP SCORER award "
EQUIPMENT
All participants must play with hockey skates (not figure skating, goalkeeper or speed skating). The protective visor or helmet grid of your choice is mandatory (grid mandatory for children under 18)
TEAM
If a team does not have the necessary number of players, this can, after notifying the organization, field one or more players from another team.
The Organizing Committee has the right to exclude a player from the tournament if this represents a danger to himself as well as to the other participants.
IRREGULARITIES
IIHF regulation applies.
In the event of infringements, the race director has the right to issue minor or major penalties.
Minor penalties can be transformed in case of extreme reiteration into major penalties.
In the event of an unintentional injury, the player will be assessed a penalty of 2 '+ 2'
MAJOR PENALTY
Every offense and every attack on the referee immediately involves a "major penalty", as well as excessive swearing, curses and discussions with the referee about the decisions he made.
Major infringements and actions that endanger the safety of players, volunteers and the public lead to the exclusion of the responsible player for the duration of the entire tournament.
In special cases and in the event that said major infringements and actions are committed by several players of the same team, the team may be excluded for the duration of the entire tournament.
In the event of violent, unsportsmanlike or otherwise not in line with the friendly aspect of the tournament by a single player, their exclusion may be decreed until the end of the competition and this AT THE UNISTAKABLE JUDGMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION and in agreement with the STAFF. ARBITRATION.
Each player plays at his own risk, the organization guarantees only the paramedic's first aid and the registration to the tournament does not include health insurance so it is always advisable to carry out your own insurance.
